Our navy strength gin named ‘George’ after the Founder's grandad who was a stoker in the Royal Navy during the second world war. Navy strength gets its name from the days when we had tall ships and barrels of gin were traded as currency. The sailors would add gin to gunpowder and set it to a naked flame to test its strength. If it didn’t light, it was below 57% ABV and therefore below currency value, but if it did light then it was a done deal. 20 20’s George Gin is 58% full of cassia, cardamom and sweet orange citrus; guaranteed to add some gunpowder to your cocktails.
